The $1 Blue Bling Bag

My girl is into accessories. And so after a difficult separation between her and a blue sparkly bag in Pumpkin Patch, I decided I would kit her up. Presenting.... Blue Bling Bag! (Try saying that fast even 3 times and I bet you'll say "blag"!)

It cost $2.50 for the blue bling, and I only used a bit more than a third... the lining and thread I already had. Gotta love what $1 can do for you! :D

I took a heap of photos trying to get one of Vienna and her new love, but she wouldn't stand still long enough!

On another note, I'd really like to post a bunch of photos of some stuff I've already made.. the timeline will be out of course, but what can you do! ;)

Loving the fabric!

Last night I decided my girl needs a fitted flannelet cot sheet to survive the rest of winter, as she only has a flat one that I've been trying to keep tucked under. So after a not-so-short visit to Spotlight and a beautifully peaceful hour all to myself (said girl was, and still is, fast asleep), we now have a fitted cot sheet. It was so easy! I just hope that it's going to fit the mattress nicely... seeing as she's asleep I can't exactly try it on.

This is the finished sheet folded up.

The tutorial I used is from HERE

I love the fabric. The green is much prettier in real life.

I bought enough fabric to make a top sheet as well (not like she'll keep it on), but decided not to sew it up just yet as I'm thinking I might back it with something nice and fluffy, probably the light purple, so it'll be super cosy (if she ever decides to use it). I can see I'll be visiting Spotlight again tomorrow!

So hello!

My first post.

I've decided to join the crowds and make a blog. I'd mostly like to use it to put up pictures of things that I've made, and ideas for new projects to do some day, one day.

I'm still trying to figure out how to set up and change things here, so we'll see how we go.. :)
